Centenario del Torneo delle 5/6 nazioni di Rugby a XV
Il Partito della
Nazione Occitana saluta calorosamente la vittoria finale e il grande Slam della squadra cosiddetta “di Francia” nel Torneo delle 6 Nazioni 2010.
Dalla sua creazione nel 1906, la cosiddetta squadra “di Francia” di Rugby è una squadra nazionale occitana che non ha il coraggio di chiamarsi col suo nome. Dopo un secolo, eccettuato
qualche Basco e qualche Catalano, l’immensa maggioranza degli internazionali « francesi » sono occitani d’origine o d’adozione. La maggior parte giocano nei club occitani gestiti
dalla cosiddetta Federazione Francese di Rugby et dalla Lega Nazionale di Rugby.
Il Torneo 2010 era il Torneo del Centenario di questa competizione sportiva. Quest' anno, la vittoria dei Rugbisti occitani sui loro cinque concorrenti prova che il Rugby occitano è uno dei
migliori d’Europa.
Il Partito della Nazione Occitana non può che deplorare la polemica su « la Marsigliese » che certi internazionali non cantano. L'appropriazione di questa
vittoria da parte degli sciovinisti francesi è indecente. Un buon modo di riconoscere l’identità fortemente occitana di questa squadra di «Francia» sarebbe di cantare «Se Canta» prima o dopo la
Marsigliese al momento degli inni.
In Gran Bretagna gli inni del Galles e della Scozia vengono cantati ad ogni partita del torneo senza che nessuno trovi qualcosa da ridire.

Hundredth anniversary of the Five/Six Nations Rugby Union Championship
The Occitan Nation Party warmly salutes the final victory and the grand slam of the
so-called French team in the 2010 Six Nations Championship.
Since it was created in 1906, the so-called French Rugby team is an Occitan national team in
disguise.
For a century, with the exception of a few Basque and Catalan players, the overwhelming majority of “French”
international players have been Occitan by birth or by adoption.
Most of them play for Occitan clubs that are managed by the so-called French Rugby Federation and the
National Rugby League.
The 2010 championship was the hundredth time this sporting event took place.
This year, the victory of Occitan rugby players over their five competitors proves that Occitan rugby is one
the best in Europe.
The Occitan Nation Party cannot but lament the controversy over the « Marseillaise », the
French National anthem some French international players don’t sing.
The hijacking of this victory by French jingoists is obscene. Playing the « Se Canta » before or after the «
Marseillaise » when it is the time for anthem playing would be a good manner to recognize the strongly Occitan identity of this French team.
In Great Britain, the Welsh and Scottish anthems are played at each championship game without raising
eyebrows.
